Before we begin
Open the States Pane
This can be done by clicking on the “States Pane” button located in the States and Categories group, in the AseptSoft ribbon.
Create new State
This can be done using the States Pane.
1. New one or Duplicate existing
Directly press on the “New…” button, or choose an existing state and press “Duplicate…”.
Now go to the next section about editing a State. Everything is identical, but you will work on a separate window.
Edit State
Edit the following fields as you need:
Category
Type in any existing category in order to move the State to the new Category, or just type a new Category, and AseptSoft will create it.
Then press Enter.
Name
Type any new name you want for the existing state.
NOTE! That will not affect your Excel. So if the old name is used in any place, it will be considered invalid and used as the default “undefined”.
COMING SOON: The excel will be automatically updated when you rename a State.
Description
The description will not affect anything. It will be just the Prompt that will appear when holding the mouse over the state in the “State” menu.
Base Color
In the “State base colour” there are 3 text boxes that you can use to type in the RGB of the colour of the state.
Click on the “Pick…” button to see a Colour Dialog Box, and visually choose the colour that you want.
Fluid Response
Set whether the shape when having this state assigned will allow the Fluid Stream to go further, or will stop it, or the response to it is unknown (for example the “undefined” shapes have an Unknown response to fluid).
Enable Procentual
By checking the “Procentual:” checkbox, the state will become a Procentual State and will allow you to set the opposite collor (when 0%) and the fluid respons when on the opposite state (when 0%).
Color and Fluid Response when 0%
You have 2 options:
- Manually set the color and fluid response when 0%. This can be done identically like setting the base color, and the base fluid response.
- Pick an existing Pair state from which AseptSoft will read the color and fluid response and consider them for 0%.
Example: for a new state “procentual_open” pick the Pair state the old existing “closed”.
NOTE:
- The Base Fluid Response is responsible when the state is assigned 100%.
- The Pair Fluid Response is responsible when the state is assigned 0%
- Between 1% and 99%, the maximum of the Base and the Pair Fluid Response will be assigned. That means if any of them is Allow Fluid Stream, then between 1% and 99% the fluid will be allowed.
Remove State
Note:
- When removing a State, the Excel is not affected ad all. So every use of the state will remain as they where.
- When AseptSoft will meet the use of that removed State in excel, It will be considered invalid (not existing) and will be shown as “undefined”
1. Select the State
Click on the state that you want to remove.
2. Press Delete
Press on the “Delete” button located in the bottom-left part of the window.
Save
Press the “Save” button in the AseptSoft ribbon.
