Before we begin
The Import feature is usefull when creating a very new project, and you want to reuse the states from the any previous projects. Also we might send you packages (on your request or not) that contains a lot of AseptSoft components including well organized and intuitive States and Categories. To add them to your project, you need the Import functionality.
NOTE: The import is made between Visio projects, in order to skip the creation of new files. So if you want to import from another project, The project itself is the target that you have to select, not another file.
Import States and Categories
This can be done using the States Pane.
1. Press “Import…”
Directly press on the “Import…” button.
2. Choose the Source Project
Pick the project that you want to import States and Categories from, and press Open. Then wait a moment for the Source project to open and load the data.
3. Select the States and the Categories
Check the boxes of corresponding the States and the Categories that you want to import.
NOTE: You allready have a State/Category in your Project, then by default it will not be checked. If you check it, it will overwrite the existing one.
4. Press “Import”
Confirm the action by pressing the “Import” button located in the bottom-right side of the window.
5. Accept Changes
Note: Now you can see loaded all the selected States and Categories from the Source Project.
Confirm the Changes by pressing the “OK” button located in the bottom-right side of the window.
Save
Press the “Save” button in the AseptSoft ribbon.
