Before we begin
1. Open the Instruments, Parameters and Variables Manager
Click on the shape that you want to transform into a source.
2. Open the tab
Open the Parameters or the Variables tab
Import Parameters and Variables
NOTE: Import Parameters and Variables in one of the folowing 2 scenarios:
- You want to reuse the existing ones from another project (In that case you will find the excel file to import in a folder placed in the same location as the excel collection of processes of the source project.)
- You want to create a new file by yourself quicker and with AseptSoft closed. Then you need to pay attention to use the layout described in the folowing instructions.
1. Press “Import Parameters and Variables…”
2. Chose the Excel containing the Parameters and Variables
Use the note below to see the layout.
Note: The selected excel file should contain at least 2 worksheets, having on the first row the header and then each row one Prameter/Variable as in the following images:
Hint: You don’t need to create the file by yourself. Create some parameters and variables using AseptSoft, then Save them. That will create the file automatically.

Save/Export Parameters and Variables
NOTE: AseptSoft Save function will automatically save the Parameters and Variables. Folow the next steps only if you want to explicitly save the parameters back into the location where you imported them from.
1. Press Save curent Parameters and Variables…
2. Confirm if needed
In case the curent Parameters and Variables are imported, then you will be asked if you want to save them in the curent project, or save them in the original location where they where imported from.
